Alan is a founding partner of LDR consultants. He is a qualified Solicitor in the Republic of Ireland (since 2007), an Attorney at Law in New York (since 2010) and a Solicitor (non practising) in England and Wales (since 2016). He is also a FIDIC accredited Adjudicator, who has been called to the President’s List of Approved Dispute Adjudicators. He has over 15 years of experience in the construction industry acting for clients in the resolution of multi-faceted construction-related disputes.
Alan has advised on the successful resolution of over €2 Billion in disputes to date, and has advised extensively on the FIDIC, ICC, and NEC forms of Construction Contract.
He started his career with a leading Irish Law firm before joining LDR as a consultant, and later as a partner. Alan has provided advice pre-contract and has also provided contract management services during the course of projects. He has worked on several continents and in numerous countries and is versed with diverse legal regimes.
Alan has had several articles published in various journals and is interested in new developments in the field of construction law.
